FUTURES DIVISION
The Futures Division is a series of one hour clinics for PreK - Kindergarten age boys and girls that promote the basic skills of the game of basketball. The children will run through drills in a station format once per week over an 8 week period. These drills will address the following skills:
- ball handling (dribbling)
- passing
- shooting (jump shots, layups, etc.)
- defense
In the last two sessions games will be played to introduce the basketball players to real game situations.
Futures Division sessions will be held at the Schwenksville Elementary School Gym on Saturdays from 9:30am to 10:30am starting on October 21, 2023. No session will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 (the Saturday after Thanksgiving) and the last session will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2023. Please do not bring any balls to the gym as all basketballs will be provided. All players should wear sneakers.
When at Schwenksville Elementary School we ask that you please obey the gym rules. Please do not bring food or drinks into the gym, stay out of the school hallways and monitor the behavior of the siblings. Please park in designated areas only. Parking is NOT permitted in the circle in front of the school.
