PVYB Field Hockey
Welcome to the PVYB Field Hockey Program.
Registration for the 2023 Fall Field Hockey Program is now open! Registration will run until 8/15. Late registration will begin on 8/16 and will incur a $25 late fee. Please register early.
The 2023 season will begin the first week of September and run through 11/06. Practices are usually once per week and typically on the same night each week. Games are once per week and typically on Saturdays. All practices and games take place on the field hockey fields located behind the Perkiomen Valley High School.
Divisions:
FUTURES- Kindergarten
- The Futures Program is a series of 90 minute clinics run on Saturday mornings. The 90 minute time frame allows for snacks and breaks to ensure 60 minutes of instruction time. Depending on the ability of the group, the last few clinics may introduce small field game play to ready players for the following season.
JUNIOR VARSITY- 1st and 2nd Grade
- The JV Program is a 7v7 format on a half field with no goalies and no corners. Teams will practice once per week with games on Saturday mornings. A typical game schedule will consist of 10 games.
VARSITY- 3rd and 4th Grade
- The Varsity Program is a 7v7 format on a half field with no goalies and no corners. Teams will practice once per week with games on Saturday mornings. A typical game schedule will consist of 10 games.
SENIORS- 5th and 6th Grade
- The Seniors Program is an 11v11 format on a half field with goalies and corner play. Teams will practice once per week with games on Saturday mornings. A typical game schedule will consist of 10 games.
All players will receive a team T-shirt and matching field hockey socks. Players are responsible for providing their own stick, shin guards and mouth guards. Cleats are recommended but not required.
