Overview

PVYB Basketball Program

pvyb.org

After much discussions with the PV School District, ICBA and PVYB Board we wanted to let you know that PVYB is intending on having a 2020/2021 basketball season; including Travel. With that said, there will be limited teams, players and access to practices/games in accordance to CDC guidelines.
We will NOT accept any child that lives outside the PV school districts!

Our intention is to have Shooters, JV, Varsity & Senior Divisions (3rd thru 12thgrade) and Travel.
We will NOT have Futures or Dribblers (preK thru 2nd grade).
Note: we will NOT allow any kids to play up in a division.

In accordance with CDC guidelines, there will not be any more than 25 people in a gym. That means that NO parent/guardian will be allowed in the gym during practices/games. If guidelines change, we will adjust accordingly.

With these changes in place, registration will open on October 15thand close on November 15th.
(Please click HERE to register).

Additional Information for Parents

  • Stay home if sick.
  • Players will not be allowed in the gym with their own balls.
  • Reduce physical closeness and keep 6 feet of space between players when possible.
  • Players should wash their hands before and after practices, games, and sharing equipment.
  • Tell a coach or staff member if you don’t feel well.
  • Coaches will sanitize balls after each practice
  • Hand sanitizer will be provided at each gym
  • Teams need to leave the gym before another team can come into the gym to practice/games. (Practice times will be adjusted to allow for 10 minutes to leave/enter)
  • Players/Coaches should avoid shaking hands, fist bumps or high fives.
  • Everyone attending practices/games must wear a face mask while entering all buildings.
  • Coaches must wear his/her mask throughout practice/games.

Waitlist Instructions
Once the registration spots in a specific division are filled, a waitlist for that division will be created.  You will not be asked to pay when placed on the waitlist.  There are a variety of reasons why someone will be removed from the waitlist and added to a division/team.  When you are notified that you are removed from the waitlist, you will then log onto our website(pvyb.org) and go to the cart, where the registration balance will be shown.  You will have 24 hours to make payment to secure your spot in a division/team.  Failure to make payment in 24 hours will result in the spot being offered to another player and the player failing to respond being moved to the end of the waitlist.

Notes:

If a High School player is on a School District’s team roster they are NOT eligible to play in PVYB.

Based on gym availability and weather issues these above gym schedules info may change…

Please understand that we will not be accepting play with, coach or carpooling requests.  While we understand this may not be convenient to all, there are many factors that are considered when determining team placement which take precedent.  What may seem like a simple request has a domino effect with other teams.  The number of requests can be inundating and slows the registration process.  Thank you for your understanding with this.
